We are so glad to share our updates from 2024 so far with you, and we cant wait to see what the rest of the year holds for us. Moving forward, these newsletters will run quarterly - make sure to subscribe for updates direct to your inbox if you haven’t already (the email version is much more fun 😉). Hi, We're Keyline Care! Seeing as this is our first newsletter, we thought we’d take the time to introduce ourselves. Keyline Care is a supported living service specialising in providing care to young people (16+) in their own homes. We can provide support to those who may have a learning disability, mental health, autism, complex needs, and/or behaviours that challenge . We work with the service user, their family/support system and the relevant social care team to build a bespoke care package tailored to individual needs, interests and goals. We centre the independence, wellbeing and potential of our service users at the heart of our approach. This means always prioritising the people we support, as well ensuring that all of our support workers receive the training and support that they need to provide exemplary care at all times. We've Moved! Perhaps the most exciting development for us this quarter is our move to a brand new head office space . This is such a huge opportunity for Keyline Care, having started out as a small business not too long ago, now expanding to a much larger office space bringing new potential for our 2024 horizons (and beyond!). Our new location: Head Office, Unit 26 Mancor House, Bolsover Street, Hucknall, NG15 7TZ. Having a larger office space has allowed us to expand our training room. At Keyline Care training is so important to us - as well as following industry standards, we provide additional/refresher training to our staff that is tailored to the unique needs of our service users, as they may arise, which allows us to continue to push for outstanding standards across our care services. This year we have started our Employee of the Month initiative at Keyline Care. We are so grateful to all our hardworking support staff and this gives us the chance to highlight and reward their individual hard work and achievements. A huge congratulations to this quarter’s employees of the month: Issac, Julie, Lesley D, Zuriel, Tony, Hassan, Lesley M, Austine, Charlotte, James, Emerson, and Boboe! Awarding achievements include fantastic communication and good relationships with service users, dedicated attitude to work, and taking initiative to provide the best standard of care possible. We would especially like to highlight the work of Lesley M, who has taken the time to work with our service user JT to create meal plans. Wellbeing is one our of core values at Keyline Care, and this is a perfect example of support that will benefit our service user in this area. We feel so lucky to have such a wonderful team behind us, and we know these achievements are just the first of many to come this year. Thank you for taking the time to catch up with our year so far! < Back Keyline Care Newsletter | April-June 2024 ​ 8 Jul 2024 It's the second instalment of our new quarterly newsletter and we've got lots to share... Hello! And welcome to the second edition of the Keyline Care quarterly newsletter. We’re so excited to share our updates from the past three months, we hope you enjoy learning about what we’ve been up to. Head Office Updates Getting off to an exciting start, we are delighted to share that we have taken on a new property . Expanding our property management was one of our main goals coming in to 2024 - as a relatively young company run by a small team, we are so proud of the expansion we have achieved already this year and can’t wait to see what is yet to come. Service User Updates Taking on a new property has meant that we have welcomed a new service user to our Keyline Care family. HC is sporty and has been keeping active by attending a football club every week - achieving player of the week twice! In other sporty news, OB bravely took on the heights during a day out rock climbing. OB has also learned to bake a cake, and is well on the way to becoming a master chef! We are always proud to share our service users’ achievements, and OB has been making great progress. After some of careful saving, OB has bought himself a new TV and is very happy with his purchase. OB has also taken part in the CAST Angling Project and had a great day - receiving praise from both CAST and Keyline staff. TW and JT have been out and about with some of our favourite furry friends , attending a prettiest dog competition with Custard and Narla - with those smiles, they’re definitely our winners. TW and Custard stole the spotlight at a local dog agility show , and enjoyed a hike all the way up to the top of the peak at Dovedale. Last but not least, JT and Narla have been making a splash and keeping cool in style during the recent sunny weather. Staff Updates As usual, our support staff continue to outshine our expectations and provide outstanding care to our service users. Our employees of the month for April and May were Darcy, Keifer, Farai, John and Sharney. In particular, our employees of the month this quarter have been commended for their good engagement and positive relationship building with service users, positive attitudes, and ability to take advice on-board. Across the board, they have provided fantastic, consistent, dedicated support. Thanks for tuning in… That’s everything from us this quarter! < Back Keyline Care - March 2023 News and Updates Lydia Potrykus 31 Mar 2023 Spring is here! Here's our March news and updates... Just like that, March is already over! Spring is on the way and we're excited for brighter days ahead. Head Office In March our head office team have been working hard as always to keep Keyline running up to standard. Although, of course, it can never hurt to have a little assistance... ...how cute are these two happy helpers! Our service user JT's lovely Narla paid our favourite head office assitant Stormy a visit at the training centre. Theres always a furry friend around at Keyline and it makes such a difference - dogs can provide us with so much happiness (especially when we're at the office 😉). Service Users As always JT was keeping busy in March! She enjoyed lots of walks with her lovely Narla alongside staff, and even had a go on the outdoor gym! JT was also busy in the garden last month! She worked hard to clear out and decorate her shed to make a cosy home for her rabbits - they even got their own fun lighting, and of course lots of toys and hay to keep them happy and healthy. Despite Spring being round the corner the UK seemed to have other plans for us in March, and TW made the most of our snow days! Of course we can't forget the help from head snowman quailty control assistant, Custard 🐶. Well, that's a wrap on another great month at Keyline - as always, thank you for taking the time to share it with us! < Back Keyline Care - February 2023 News and Updates Lydia Potrykus 28 Feb 2023 Its hard to believe February is already over, here’s everything Keyline got up to in the second month of 2023... We’re already moving into the third month of 2023! The time has flown by and so far we’ve had a great year at Keyline Care. Head Office In January we announced our exciting property expansion into Nottingham, and we’re thrilled to say we already have a service user living in our Nottingham house receiving support from our wonderful care team. Here are some pictures of our stunning Nottingham property - you can find more on our website . Service Users February was a definitely a busy month for JT! She enjoyed her first fishing trip of the year alongside staff at Wymeswold Lakeside, getting some fresh air and spending time appreciating nature. JT also showed off her creativity whilst creating some beautiful henna tattoo designs, practiced her skills as a chef on pancake day cooking up some delicious Nutella pancakes and of course went on some lovely long walks with staff and Narla. Last but not least, JT made an amazing achievement in February by passing a dog grooming course with a merit, receiving her certificate and displaying it proudly with Narla by her side. What absolutely fantastic news, we’re so proud of JT! Even more creativity in February, this time from TW who got his first tattoo. A very expressive and unique design, what an exciting change! He also showed off his bravery making a scaled friend... Thank you for taking the time to check in with us here at Keyline Care. We’ve been so lucky this year so have such exciting news to share and so many achievements to be proud of from our service users. Here’s to another great month in March! We're already coming up to half-way through 2023 - the days are longer and brighter and we cant wait for summer to arrive! Head Office This past month we've been busy rasing awareness and sharing resources on our Instagram and Facebook pages. We joined in on raising awareness for Mental Health Awareness Week - this year's theme was Anxiety, so we focused on sharing some information, useful tips and of course important resources. Taking part in campaigns that support issues close to our cause is so important to us at Keyline - we know that working together is the way to make change happen, one small step at a time. Her new pals were kind enough to pose for a few photos... JT also celebrated Narlas 1st birthday this month! Narla got lots of attention, love, and even her own balloons and party hat. How can we support you? 1 Promoting your independence by supporting you in your own home. 2 Assisting in finding you a secure tenancy via housing association, separate to agreed care/support. 3 Supporting your move out of residential/hospital care, or from your family home. Who do we work with? We work with Beacon Supported Housing C.I.C to provide our service users with suitable accommodation . The team at Beacon Supported Housing C.I.C have extensive experience in the Specialist Supported Housing sector. They offer property sourcing and maintenance, as well as advice, regular inspections and out of hours services. Beacon Supported Housing C.I.C. provides supported housing specifically designed to meet the needs of the individual service user, relating to a learning disability, acquired brain injury, physical/sensory disability or mental illness. Once a suitable property has been identified, Beacon Supported Housing CIC take the lease out directly with the owner and then sub-let it to our service users on a six month Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreement . All rent is guaranteed by Beacon Supported Housing CIC and deposits are paid in full. The rent paid by the tenant will be via Housing Benefit if they are eligible, or from other finances provided for housing. Beacon Supported Housing CIC will work closely with the proposed tenant, their support provider, families, landlords and social services to ensure that the process runs smoothly . Want to know more? It’s a new year and a new beginning for Keyline Care and we are thrilled to share the launch of our new website. 2023 is already off to a great start for Keyline, with the launch of our new website marking the first of what we hope will be many achievements for our Keyline community this year. We have new management for our social media and website, a quarterly newsletter coming soon, plans for expansion in our property management and much more yet to come. To open 2023 on a positive note, some words from our managing director... “As Keyline grows, I’m focused on staff being happy and well looked after whilst ensuring that each individual has chance for progression and training. As a managing director I’m extremely proud of the hard-working and dedicated team we have delivering outstanding care to our service users and I am looking forward to what Keyline holds in the future!” We’re looking forward to another year of growth and achievement for our Keyline family.
